cari.institute/aesthetics

Consumer Aesthetics Research Institute, it’s a neat website showing design trends in advertising, packaging, print, etc throughout the years.

The rest of the house looks pretty cool, and then you’ve got this bumpy slippery nightmare.

Yeah, that price tag is kind of bugging me, especially after the NES Classic, SNES Classic, and Playstation Classic were all $100 or less and had more built-in games. The ability to play 7800 and 2600 carts is cool, though.

Hear, hear! The Vita is such an astoundingly good retro games machine.

Maybe you like variety. When you listen to an entire album all the way through, you’re getting a bunch of songs that are (most likely) the same genre, the same singer, possibly the same tempo, etc.

Radio stations aren’t going to play a bunch of songs by the same artist back to back (unless it’s some sort of programming block), so you get a variety of sounds and voices. Even a radio station that sticks to a specific genre will play a bunch of artists each with their own unique style.

Listening to an album front to back can be fun experience, but also there’s merit in a big shuffled playlist of various songs from multiple artists you like.

That’s gonna be such a good looking mural!

Jeez louise there’s a blast from the past.

What made you choose your instance?

Following the spirit of spreading across the Fediverse (and because my main instance is down so many times, because diverse reasons) I’m intrigued about the joining instance process, because I honestly don’t know what criteria to have in order to join another one if I ever want to do it....

I started on lemmy.fmhy.net, then jumped to lemm.ee when I heard about the domain issues. But I wasn’t aware of just how big lemm.ee really was, and I like the idea of being on a smaller instance to help with decentralization. I looked around and saw leminal.space and I thought that was a pretty good pun. It was really as simple as that.

I absolutely meant lemmy.fmhy.ml. See what happens when I try to juggle Lemmy and work? I’ve learned my lesson: focus more on Lemmy.
