Although off-topic, I’m already using it, but part-time because of the inability to :

• use threads ;
• list unjoined space rooms ;
• jump to a message search result ;
• make the taskbar unread indicator disappear.

Est-ce que ça veut dire que les 99 autres personnes devront s’y essayer pour prouver que t’es le meilleur dans ce domaine (qui est plus une tâche qu’un domaine), et que tu devras t’essayer aux 99 spécialités choisies par chacune des autres personnes pour tenter de prouver qu’elles y sont meilleures ?

Personne ne joue le jeu !

Pour ma part, je démonte mon ordi portable, place le trombone dedans, le remonte, l’allume et mets en écran de veille un diapo de photos de moi dans chaque recoin l’appart dans lequels j’aurai planqué des trucs marrants en guise de lots de consolation de n’avoir jamais trouvé le trombone.

Ok c’est sophistiqué mais chuis comme ça xD

Plus simplement j’aurai dit au fond du compost, mais c’est probablement trop fréquent pour être loupé 😅

• J’ai démonté et remonté des PCs portables suffisemment de fois dans ma vie pour être capable de le faire dans les temps, sachant qu’il ne s’agit que d’y poser un trombone, pas de le planquer sous le SSD ou un truc comme ça, et que je n’ai pas besoin de remettre autant de vis que j’en ai retirées ;
• Faire un diapo en écran de veille requiert juste de mettre les photos dans un même dossier et de le sélectionner, donc pas aussi long que faire un PowerPoint.

En vrai, y a bien un truc que chuis pas sûr de pouvoir faire dans les temps : sélectionner des objets marrants à cacher. 😂

Bref, la mission n°1 serait quand même accomplie. xD

No, as I said, the default is not showing.

It never shows when booting under normal conditions.

But, it shows when booting after an update.

That’s the exception I’d like to remove.

Anyway, it’s not just Discord, but any Electron app, like Element for Matrix, Signal, etc. the additional command-line arguments don’t work on these either.

And what about VLC ? Also, my browser is Brave, also Chromium-based, on which the virtual keyboard doesn’t appear either.

Hmm, there sure could be useful additions but I don’t think it’s missing anything required though, on the back-end.

The front-end, however, is far from being usable for a blog.

Front end might be lacking in someway but that alone goes pretty far.

Well, a Lemmy front-end, whether official or third-party, for a blog, makes sense for an existing Lemmy user, but for sure doesn’t for anyone not knowing what Lemmy is, that’s why customization is required on this part.

• Removing Communuties, Create post, Create community from menu ;
• Adding local communities directly to the menu, used as categories ;
• Adding posts from a “pages community” directly to the menu, e.g. About me ;
• Removing Trending communities and Trending/Local/All filters from the homepage ;
• Removing Blocks, Languages, Show NSFW content, Blur NSFW content, Bot Account, Show Bot Accounts, Show Read Posts, Import/Export Settings from settings ;

As I’m writing this I’m thinking that it would probably make sense to have a built in web view specifically for outsiders to see a community as a blog.

A blog-focused front-end, as you said. Either that, or customization of the official front-end (but not while unstable).
