LucidNightmare,

Was using Floorp for awhile because I like the layout with a custom CSS theme. I can’t wait for it to be official, because the Floorp developers put on a recent update article that says they are looking at ways to monetize the browser without sacrificing user privacy and security, and I just don’t like that thought process at all. I know it is unpaid work, but I already have enough things in my life trying to monetize me. I definitely don’t need another!

Here is the update they provided, but under Changes they say,

“Later this year, Ablaze plans to launch a number of initiatives to help maintain the health of the browser and generate revenue from its software in a way that doesn’t compromise user privacy.”

LucidNightmare,

Awh. As someone who played King’s Field through emulation, with “cheats” to give it modern controls, I loved Lunacid! I actually beat it 100% by following a guide online.

What did you not find to your liking, if you don’t mind me asking? :)

LucidNightmare,

I see, and understand your points. The reason I enjoyed King’s Field/Shadow Tower/Souls was the exploration aspect, which Lunacid does really well.

I agree with the anime characters, for sure. It was very jarring to run into the girl the first time. I couldn’t help but feel like I was playing a different game all of the sudden!

What did the developer say to dislike them, again, if you don’t mind me asking?

LucidNightmare,

I read about this from people like you, but I did NOT have the same experience.

I recently upgraded a 2011 Pro Macbook with new RAM, and a new battery. I am furious at myself for even wasting the money to do that in the first place.

The battery, even when brand new from iFixit, barely lasted an hour or two on Youtube while I am at work. Two videos around 15-20 minutes, medium brightness, 720p, and the damn thing barely lasted those two videos. God forbid I want to use it for anything after those!

I’m assuming it was because the CPU is way way power hungry, which is okay, but DEFINITELY not usable in real situations. My main point is that my side of this situation was not at all good, and to not waste your money!

LucidNightmare,

I see I didn’t mention that, but it also had a Samsung SSD that I put into it when I upgraded my desktop with a bigger SSD. :(

LucidNightmare,

Wow. Thank you so much for this post! I always thought I was flipping crazy, but it actually makes sense now!

As an aside, I just went ahead and bit the bullet and got a new laptop as I was under the impression the CPU was very power hungry, and that no matter what upgrades I gave it, it would never be “efficient” enough for me to use for what I need a laptop for, which is battery life.

Thank you for helping me understand the issue was always there, and that I should’ve definitely researched more before I bought these upgrades!

LucidNightmare,

I’ve realized, thanks to tal, that I was under the wrong impression and had thought the CPU was just too power hungry. Maybe it is, but it has always had not so good battery life unfortunately.

I have bitten the bullet, and upgraded to a newer laptop. The battery actually lasts multiple days of youtube, plex, and anything else like games I throw at it. I just wanted a laptop I didn’t have to worry about charging unless I got a few uses out of it first! I will always miss the glowing apple on the back of the lid though. That was some good times. :')

LucidNightmare,

I also went and installed Debian on it because I knew it was no longer supported by MacOS. I know I could’ve tried the OpenCore and I did at one point, but it wasn’t very stable and still ate through the battery. :/

LucidNightmare,

How do you get over the nutty aftertaste? Every milk derivative I have tried, always tasted really really bad compared to regular milk. Trust me, I want to go plant milk, but goodness the taste is awful for me.

LucidNightmare,

Of course almond milk, and that was the first one I tried. I hated that one because I don’t like almonds, so I didn’t want to give up there. When I tried oat milk, I liked it a little at first, but it started to have a play-doh taste like a day or two after opening it, and I did not buy another to see if it was a bad batch.

Can you recommend some oat milk that will taste good, and not break the bank so to speak? :)

LucidNightmare,

I see my local mart sells the Chobani kind, so I will give that one a try. Thank you!

LucidNightmare,

I talked about my playthrough in the BG3 community, but I also love that I was able to be the best and most heroic hero the world ever saw, and then at the last minute choose to enslave everyone.

That was some of the best “play your way” gameplay I have ever experienced in a game man.

LucidNightmare,

I have NEVER been successful in doing an evil play through.

Every time I try to do it, the first evil choice I do makes me nope out, reload, and do it the way I really would if I was my character. I just can’t play as anyone but myself unfortunately. 😭

LucidNightmare,

I love LGR and his content. Glad to see others do too!

LucidNightmare,

I wish I would’ve been smart/lucky enough to fuck off to space.

LucidNightmare,

Ah, man. I remember when I went to this site to get themes for windows cursor, windows themes, and even skins for some of the programs I liked at the time. They went downhill quite some time ago, maybe around 2014 or 2015, as I stopped using that site as much because of the increase in pornographic stuff that showed on the front page. It will be missed though, either way.

LucidNightmare,

How was it? What was your use-case for it? The software/theme part of the website started to get drowned out by furry stuff, and the occasional live nude models or just scantily dressed models, which is fine but not what I went there for.

LucidNightmare,

I bought an ultrawide monitor, and it has over the years, become my least favorite part of my setup. The games that I play usually do not even support ultrawide, movies don’t support it, and Youtube videos do not support it.

Basically, I spent the extra amount of money on a monitor that shows black bars 90% of the time I am at my desk, and that has really soured my experience with ultrawides.

The next monitor I get will be a flat, 2 or 4k OLED monitor.

LucidNightmare,

I still remember watching their debate, live, and Biden running circles around that fucking idiot because all he could do was jibber jabber nonsense, and continually kept talking over Biden during Biden’s turn. I then had people try to tell me that Biden was too old to debate, that Trump ran circles around Biden, and that Trump had taken the win for the debate.

It was at this time, where I fully became radicalized. I realized that the reality that I watched in real time, was not the same reality that these people were in.

Anyway, I’m assuming Biden will still run circles around Trump, whether he be there or not. Maybe this time, Biden will actually get to use his time to talk without the orange fucking idiot opening his.

LucidNightmare,

Without mods, Bethesda’s games would not have been so consistently played since:

2011 for Skyrim’s FIRST release
2014 for Fallout 4’s FIRST release

Saying that mods aren’t important, is actually kind of weird. Without those mods keeping the games afloat through the internet ether, they would not be AS popular as they are today.

People STILL play Fallout 3 and New Vegas TO THIS DAY, because of mods that LITERALLY allow the game to be played as crash free as possible.

From that context, I would assume mods are pretty damn important for these games.

LucidNightmare,

I’m glad you can play Fallout 4 without mods. I really just use mods that make the experience better than vanilla such as:

The AWFUL dialogue options they did for Fallout 4
The bad voice acting for my character
The lack of options for character creation
The lack of diversity between characters and the armor/guns they use And any cool clothing/armor/weapon mods I would like to use or add to my companions
OH and changes to the AI for the companions and enemies to make them just a wee bit better than just standing there in the open like a fool

The Witcher 3 has had plenty of very good mods, though. And modding is so important to people that CDPR is releasing a whole ass modding kit, so…

LucidNightmare,

Definitely not, no. It was a high quality product to begin with, so mods weren’t as needed/wanted.

LucidNightmare,

It’s to prevent you from accidentally deleting a photo you would never want to delete. If you want to make sure it’s deleted, you just go into the Photos app and delete it from the Recently Deleted folder. I prefer this approach, as I have accidentally deleted a photo that I did not mean to, and luckily it was still there. Use cases are different though, so.

LucidNightmare,

Right, right. I understand that. I was just explaining why the option is good for people like me. I don’t take nudes, and I don’t receive nudes, so I don’t mind if the data is still there or not. I’m just glad the photo of me and my friend was still there when I noticed it was missing from my album after a recent meme deletion spree. lol

LucidNightmare,

Key Facts:

The board affirmed the decision of administrative law Judge Lauren Esposito, who ruled last year that Apple illegally stopped workers from placing union flyers on a table in the break room of the World Trade Center store, confiscated the flyers and interrogated staff over their “protected concerted activity.”

Esposito ordered Apple cease and desist from illegally questioning workers about union matters in addition to confiscating union flyers from the store’s employee break room.

Monday’s ruling is the board’s first decision against Apple, according to Bloomberg, which first reported the ruling and cited agency spokesperson Kayla Blado.

The board cannot impose fines or direct punishments against Apple for its violations.

Apple didn’t immediately respond to Forbes’ request for comment.
