Apple really worked hard to make video files created with iMovie unusable. Few minute recording having hundreds of MBs. Obviously all it takes is to transfer it to a computer and reduce the bloated size with ffmpeg. Too bad iPhones, or even default Macs, are unable to do this.

Downplaying the threat of foreign disinformation campaigns risks making it easier for bad actors to take advantage of an unprepared public.
