I got home around 1 am after last night's performance and saw that someone had put a desk/table with nice metal legs and an oak top out on the street.

I've been needing a new desk, so I dragged it home.

I went out and looked at it this morning and the top is not oak. It is bamboo. It's bamboo stamped with a fake oak wood grain pattern. lol. I'll still use it though.

I think this will work as a nice desk for me but whoever owned it before covered it in some kind of horrible polyurethane that's still gummy. They even put it on the metal legs. I have to sand it all off and refinish it

The abandoned military training center has solar panels all over its roof. They are all covered with graffiti. I would never contemplate sneaking in they're and talking a few

It must really be something to work in tech and be able to just relocate almost anywhere you want and still have your job or easily get another job that lets you work remotely. I'm jealous of that

@brainwagon I'm sorry. That sucks. A bunch of my coworkers at the newspaper were laid off when I was working there and they were all shocked and left adrift. It was such a bummer.
