Imagine thinking that that one generation of people who were openly scorned by their own elders for being vapid narcissists and who were equally scorned by everyone younger than them for being self-serving nitwit degenerates...

...imagine thinking that they actually have it harder than anyone who has ever lived.

The Eternal Boomer.

This is classic boomer materialism. "Thing are better" is incredibly vague. When you use a retarded materialist definition, you can argue that any given time is always better than any previous time because our sailfoams have twice as many giggleflops or some guy in china made a laser that's twice as powerful as last year's.

When you use actual metrics like:
-food (nutritionally abysmal in modern times),
-shelter (safety and trust are gone, sqft/$ is much less relevant to the soul),
-love (mate finding is a flaming shitshow, intergenerational bonds are destroyed, children are demonized and predated on)
its exceedingly obvious that things have gotten successively and undeniably worse.

Boomers will do anything to avoid culpability including looking at skyrocketing suicide/OD rates and concluding that modern men are just too weak to hack it, not that things are infinitely worse for the soul.

Its funny that pdp can only rebrand as shitty memes that are 3 years out of date.

As far as I understand it, the backrooms meme is a lot more specific and limited. It centers around that yellowish image of some back rooms and just makes vague references to their eeriness, the mysterious circumstances one might end up their in, or the creatures that might be lurking. Reallt just a kind of class of memes implying that one can accidentally stumble into this otherworldly place-between-places. No where near as fleshed out as SCP or anything.

They became part of a larger class of meme/images called "liminal spaces" which are generally supposed to be images of places that have an otherworldly kind of feel to them, but its highly redditified and oversaturated so a lot of it's just random pics that people try to force into fitting. I personally enjoy a lot of it, when it's good it's kind of moody and ethereal. A guy called Solar Sands on yt did a pretty good video on it that I watched a while back. But overall "the backrooms" are kind of their own thing.

This is actually a genius strategy for any number of historical events.

I'm switching to windows 11.
Can anyone recommend some good apps to start out with?
I'm looking forward to all the great software people say I've been missing out on as a linux user.

Personally I think every app just feels a little better knowing that at any time, the baked in antivirus software that you have disabled in the settings could take off like a helicopter and cause the framerates of whatever you're doing to drop to PowerPoint levels.

Just keeps your computer experience a little more exciting.
