One thing that was unfortunately missing from all of the amazing announcements at this year’s WWDC is the introduction of a standalone “Passwords” app.

I think putting this feature front and center instead of burying it in Settings could really help the user experience and improve discoverability.

I made a quick mockup in Sketch to illustrate that this could be achieved with surprisingly little work. Here’s hoping they do this soon! 🤞

When you pack for moving, do you catalog everything you’ve got? The contents of each box? How fine / detailed do you get?

@louie @jamesthomson One thing I did last time was taking pictures of each full box before closing them up, print the photos and sticking them on the boxes.

So, what problem does Stage Manager solve that the Dock or Mission Control/Spaces didn't already solve?

@marioguzman Does it have to solve different problems though? I think multitasking as a problem is complex enough to justify offering the user multiple solutions. I personally know people who have never gotten into Spaces/Mission Control because that’s just not how their brain wants to think but who now swear by Stage Manager.

@marioguzman If you want to define it like that you could say that the problem it solved is that the existing multitasking solutions did not work for a lot of people.
I think such choice can be a good thing. Bloat is always a risk but I’d rather them keep innovating.

Would you be as negative on Stage Manager if instead of a separate feature it was implemented as a different behavior of Spaces that can be turned on for people that like it better?

Communication is via text files: the player downloads and uploads small text files.
