Good riddance. All the talents from that studio are now either at Khara or at Trigger. Gainax has long since been an empty husk, just trying to reap profits from the old works of people who have since left it. Last year I re-played a few Flash gamed I’d played as a child, and one of them was Armadillo Knight, one of my favorites, which had three games hinting at a lore and ending of a cliffhanger. I wanted to find any information on the “Armadillo Knight” universe as I could, and I found the name of it’s creator (tho I’ve since forgotten it). He actually had had a furafinity account, so I went to that site for the first time, to see if there was some Armadillo Knight lore over there. Yeah.
Of course, this has no moral or political bearing, I am no advocate of murder. Just a little unintuitive fact.
It plays on the ambiguity of the word “cause”. Is the cause the reason why something was going to happen, or the reason why it happened precisely when it did? Say you set a stone on another at such a fragile balance that it could fall at any moment for any reason. Five minutes later, the wind blows and the stone falls. Was the cause of the fall you setting the stone where you did, or was it the wind? That’s debatable. But now, assume you put the stone on a big snowball instead. As it gets warmer, whatever you do, the stone will end up on the floor. Say a squirrel jumps on the snowball and the stone falls before the snow has melted. If you see the stone at this time, and are asked why the stone is on the floor, you will certainly blame the squirrel. But if you only see the stone being set, the leave and come back in the summer. If asked why the stone is there, certainly you will think that the cause was that it was set on a snowball. But then, does it matter whether or not you know about the squirrel? If there had been a squirrel and the stone hadn’t been set on the snowball, the stone wouldn’t be one the floor there. But if the stone had been set on the snowball and there hadn’t been a squirrel, it would now still be on the floor at roughly the same place. Therefore, the squirrel isn’t the determining factor. However, whether you ask the question before of after the snow has melted changes your answer.
We think as murder (the squirrel) as the cause of death because we ask the question before the snow has melted (before a person’s natural lifetime has elapsed). But if you consider it on the long term, the answer changes. The murder is no longer the cause of death.
Fool, a man bothers not with bags, packages or any sort of vessel. For his hands have enough fingers to hold each fruit, each spaghetto and each grain of rice, and evey liquid from milk to bleach, without bottle, without mixing them and without a drop lost. I guess I could upload the kra files (there are four of them since I made each panel separately, exported them to png and arranged them a fourth krita doc). Tho if I did that, would it even count as open source? A .kra file isn’t really a source code, it’s an archive that contains binaries.
I believe Krita is on F-Droid and it’s my go-to program on desktop, tho I couldn’t get ot to work correctly on my phone or the outdated tablets I could get my hands on (it launched, but I was stuck on a part of the screen and couldn’t move, or close the window that opens at the start to create a document because the “close” button was outside my screen). so I don’t know how it’ll be on your tablet.
That aside, I really didn’t find many open source Android apps for Graphic design. I sometimes use Pocket Paint, but it sucks and I only use it to make comically bad art for memes.
Wow, you go straight to hating it without leaving your seat? I usually have to either go to sleep or go out to do something else to leave some time for my idea of the drawing to grow further from the actual drawing before it happens.
