Time for a new FeedFlow update

I added the possibility of filtering the feed in the home by category or by website. I was missing this feature in my everyday usage, so here we go!

You can download it on the PlayStore, AppStore, and on GitHub (for macOS).

A little spoiler of what will come in a future FeedFlow release!

Finally, some "timeline" filtering!

@gadgetero Noted, thanks for the suggestion!

Do you mean a search for the current unread items?

marcogom,
@marcogom@androiddev.social avatar

@gadgetero Gotcha, makes sense!

marcogom,
@marcogom@androiddev.social avatar

@gadgetero Read history and a sort of sync are already on my backlog :)

marcogom,
@marcogom@androiddev.social avatar

@gadgetero Ah good point, thanks for the feedback!

I'll have to give it a try how it looks with a fixed image and no description, and all the cases.

This should be printed and framed on every workspace.

Is there a tool/platform/website where folks can contribute to translating an open-source app without all the fork and PR ceremonies?

I'm looking for something to start translating FeedFlow and I remember seeing something like that but I don't remember 😅

@gryzor Thanks for the suggestion! I'll look at it!

TIL

When setting up a Kotlin Multiplatform project you can use "targetHierarchy.default()" to set up a default hierarchy instead of having to do it manually with all of the dependsOn 🤯

More info here: https://kotlinlang.org/docs/multiplatform-hierarchy.html#default-hierarchy

A new update for is out!

I fixed some date parsing issues and some other parsing errors;.

Also an annoying memory leak on iOS that lead to crashes should be fixed

And with that there's also a new alpha release for RSSParser. One step closer to the final release 🤩

Say hi to FeedFlow!

I made an RSS Reader for Android, iOS and macOS, powered my , , , and my library RSSParser 🎉

It's opinionated since all the articles open on their website, but you can choose the browser (mobile only).

Usually, I read stuff on DuckDuckGo so trackers are blocked and I can nuke everything afterwards. Plus I keep my reading separated from my main browser.

It's available now on Google Play, App Store, and for macOS.

TIL, there's a device art generator in the Android docs to add a device frame in the screenshots 🤯

The Pocket app on my iPhone was automatically updated to the latest version.
I haven't seen a jankier scroll since maybe Android 4.0 in 2011.
Everything is slow and jumping all over the place.

What is happening???? 🙃

marcogom,
@marcogom@androiddev.social avatar

@wiredfire @mttvll @omnivore Interesting! I will try that for sure!

marcogom,
@marcogom@androiddev.social avatar

@mttvll The "best" thing is that from version 8 they remove highlights from the iOS app. It will come in the future. Literally the only feature for what I paid a year plan 🙄

After months of work, I just published the first alpha version of RSS Parser!

It targets Android, iOS, JVM. I rewrote a lot of things (hello 2017 me with poor naming choices), docs still missing but you can try the 6.0.0-alpha01 version and share feedback/bugs.
