After my last post, I got some suggestions. AND I LOVED 'EM!

Keep in mind this is STILL my work computer. I've installed Tibia and Quake just for the LOLZ. Had mixed reactions from my colleagues. So... mission accomplished? :P

Windows XP was a good, solid OS. Not FOSS, obviously, but I imagine most people would remember it fondly. Not heresy, maybe just some mild blasphemy.

Do you think potential candidates should be reimbursed in some form for taking assessments that are required by the employer in order to be considered for employment?

Also, should this be available for only job candidates who are not considered for the position?

Or should it go for every job candidate, even the ones that get the position?

Thanks for reading and being your most precious and sensual self ❤️.

I’ve helped with hiring before, and I’ve never needed to do an assessment to gauge whether someone was right for the job. Within about 10 minutes of conversation, it’s pretty easy to tell where they’re at.

If i wanted to create a game from scratch, what language should i learn?

You’re not wrong, but the key here is:

focused on C++ almost exclusively

If you regularly have to switch between Java, C#, Python, and other high-level languages, C++ feels a lot more difficult (plus I personally find the syntax for C++ isn’t intuitive, so I constantly have to look things up). It really depends on where you’re coming from.

I'm totally new to this, but I thought this might be a good place to ask: Is there an Android app I can use to access kbin? I have the website pinned to my home screen for now, but the touch targets are a bit tiny and it doesn't seem well optimized for mobile. Also any tips and tricks on . . . this whole Fediverse thing would be great. Still trying to wrap my head around it.

I'm not an expert on the various protocols involved, but it's possible that the common protocol used to federate kbin and lemmy are different from the protocol used to log in to a lemmy or kbin instance. So it's possible Jerboa doesn't support logging into kbin (but would still show content from kbin instances).
