Probably a first world problems tweet, but I just picked one of these Heath-Zenith Westminster-chime doorbells up for £25, thinking it was mechanical, and probably easy to modify to work from a wired doorbell setup.
Alas, it's electronic - the brass tubes are completely hollow :(

I hate that everytime I see a photo in a youtube video and it looks weird I now have to commit brain power to working out if it's been photoshopped or if it's a fucking "AI" image.

90% of the time it's the latter.

Here's a simple guide for using AI images in media!
Ask yourself "Can I do this without using AI?"

If the answer is "Yes" then please do it without using AI.

If the answer is "No" then just don't do it, think of something else; that cutaway image isn't that important to the story.

@Itty53 Yeah hands are definitely the biggest giveaway. The one that spurred the original toot had a mostly okay hand (mostly because it cut off the little finger, and on closer inspection has two thumbs) but the immediate giveaway was a single fork becoming two with a third head hovering between them.

This also raises the question of personal standards; if the producer happy with the lazy terrible results that they get what else are they happy with?

Finally been able to get my words in order re this.

Leeds is currently the largest city in Europe without some form of metro system. It has buses and standard rail. It's current road network was designed to be a "Motorway City".

The roads are packed with vehicles and the buses are packed with people. Some evenings it's impossible to get a bus because of how full they are.

Everything is at capacity. The entire county needs a rapid transit system.

LB: Everyone should adblock nowadays. If advertisers don't want adblockers then they should fix the problems in their networks.

If a website won't load because you've got an adblock then hit the bricks.

Also if you run your own network and have a home server/pi handy, then you should use this too: https://pi-hole.net/

Tonight's , scratch cooked lasagne. And the first lesson is it's better to get over the feeling of "uurgh that Wusthof could take my fingers off" and just grab it. Especially for carrots. It makes the wee Kitchen Devil look like a toy.
