@daya@s it just started frequently crashing. in an attempt to solve the issue I tried updating, but it got stuck on a particular migration forever. I was in the middle of escaping russia at the time, so I just created an account at someone else's instance and postponed figuring it out.
I eventually figured it was probably due to slow storage (I use a buyvm storage slab and the speed somehow degraded to literally 1 megabyte per second). I still have the db but didn't have the motivation to move it somewhere else and restore the instance.
legally blind friend was doing some small talk with a vending machine restocking guy on campus, and the guy asked him "are the small bumps on the steering wheel, so that blind people could drive?"
didn't properly inspect the tires when buying the scooter, since I didn't know what to look for. inspected them when I got home, the front tire is still good, but the back tire is of a different brand, worn out and made 3 years before the scooter itself. how
got my malaysian license rejected by a car sharing service because it's "provisional" (every license issued here after passing the driving test is, you can only convert it to "competent" license after 2 years)
meanwhile my roommate uses it just fine on his bribed indonesian license, it's not fair :cat_disdain:

uni is holding a career fair and they partnered with anime club to have a yae miko cosplayer walk around campus and advertise it. wonder how that deal was negotiated
been taking friends to a particular family run chinese restaurant in the small town near uni, since it's just cheap and good. last 2 times I came auntie actually cut me a small discount. feelsgoodman
always interesting to check spotify listen stats for russian artists. spotify exited russia, so it's usually cities with large russian speaking population, like minsk, almaty and kyiv on top.
