There’s a reason the seats are liftable. It’s to lift before you piss and if you pissed on the rim, then just use the nearby faucet to wash it down, then drop the seat back down when leaving.
The problem is not men, but people who don’t think of the next person using the thingy.

I was in a hostel for multiple years and I used to was the toilet before and after the deed.

Veganism requires vastly less land and water resources

This too can cause misinformation.

Supporting a vegetarian diet requires less land and water resources.

Veganism requires the overuse of pesticides to the point that it makes the soil become unusable faster and hence needs higher treatment upkeep, essentially causing faster consumption of the limited energy resources we have.

You are spreading misinformation.

You were correct until here, but the land use food calculator will actually only be giving information pertaining to a normal (non-vegan) crop.

Well, I don’t like meat anyway, so…

ulterno,
@ulterno@lemmy.kde.social avatar

What I am putting up there, is that, stopping meat is not the problem.
The problem arises with using the veganism buzzword, which will make people think that paying those who advertise vegan stuff would make anything better.

It would most definitely make it worse than whole vegetarian (which includes putting up with the insects and worms that come during farming) and might even end up being as much of a burden as the meat industry.
People will think they are doing better, while not actually doing better, which is worse than the status quo.

Why would growing grain for humans require more pesticides than growing grain for animals

Growing grain for the vegan brand will require more pesticides. It’s as if noone is really reading.

I don’t get what you’re trying to guess.

But, kidney beans.

Imagine having rootkits and APTs on your system, just to play some overpriced games, which you are later, remotely stopped from playing.

ulterno,
@ulterno@lemmy.kde.social avatar

I’d rather give my time and money to a game that I find worth paying for rather than pirating, but you do you.
Also, pirated games, like any other Windows program, work on Wine. Maybe not all, but not all Windows software work on Wine anyway.

Everyone who wants more of that, stop adding “/s” to your posts.

Even better, start using /s for serious instead

Maker of Blueprint: The one I made, works at 12V.
B: I’mma make standard transistors.

why?Blueprint was made by a person in the tropics.

You forgot the “at least” before the 52%.

I feel like the user’s suggestion of “jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge” would be more impactful in that case, you know, to awaken your survival instincts, which prevents depression.
But on the off chance that someone actually goes and jumps off, a professional would probably not give that advice.

Coming from Paint.NET, I first tried Photoshop and I felt its controls to be non-intuitive, so I reverted to Paint.NET.
Later, I started using GIMP and coming from someone with no experience in either of them, GIMP and Photoshop are equally non-intuitive, so whenever someone complaining about GIMP, feels like they are coming from Photoshop, I just discount their rating.

Inkscape is a vector graphics editor, which is different from GIMP.

ulterno,
@ulterno@lemmy.kde.social avatar

Right.
I feel like the text part is something GIMP should actually make an overlapping feature. That and basic shapes, which would make it much more useful for basic stuff.

But then, I’m neither a GIMP dev nor a heavy user and I have no idea of their target audience.

If you are making memes, Inkscape is what you are using most of the times. Though the lack of 2 click and 1 drag cropping, makes me feel a bit frustrated (still, you can crop).

Simple, just eat it and see.
If you’re dead, it’s poisonous.
If you are alive, you haven’t eaten enough.

I’m gonna have one crapbox prebuilt just for the windows things

I did that too. For older games.
Then I went ahead and installed Linux on that one too.

Glitches and cloud outages happen on Linux too, but erectile dysfunction is definitely a Windows problem.

Similarly, had you switched to Arch in your teens, you would never have had marital issues.

You can get your ass beat in school the other guy gets detention.

The other guy goes home happy.
If you fight back, you get beaten by teachers, then your parents get called and harassed and then you are made to understand that you need to shut up and get beaten whenever someone feels like it.

I was on Word, then LibreOffice Writer.
Now thinking of making it a markdown source, with CSS styling to get an HTML based PDF. This way, the same source can be used on a webpage with different generation code.

This seems to me, to be simpler than L^A^TEX, but still good enough for a resume.

ulterno,

Interesting, but not appealing to me.
I have already been enchanted by discount and mesmerised by kramdown.

ulterno, (edited )
@ulterno@lemmy.kde.social avatar

kramdown and discount are 2 fun little tools.

  • kramdown is more fully featured and is a Ruby Gem.
  • discount is made in C and is more suitable if you are using it in an on-the-fly render process (∵ lesser CPU cycles), but it has lesser functionality features.

A lot of Linux Distros seem to have Firefox telemetry disabled by default (even the minimal, one-time ping, telling Mozilla to know there is another user), so that might be skewing some of the stats.
