It’s all good. Jump in where you feel comfortable. Don’t feel compelled to slog through an episode that doesn’t jive. And if you dislike anything we like, you will feel our wrath.
Tough not to touch on it, given when the show was airing. Using it as the arc for the whole season is a bit taxing. “Proving Ground” is definitely the highlight for me.
My take is that it’s best viewed as a 2 parter from the show. The first part ending after the “badmiral” admits the Federation had chosen to ignore the plight of the Ba’ku.
