So by your logic and reasoning this poor woman apparently committed suicide(?)!

Yes he's a kid but he also resides in a state where anyone committing this crime is tried as an adult - that doesn't mean that he'll go to an adult prison if the outcome is prison time. If you read anything about it you'll know he's a straight-up psychopath and needs serious mental help!

LOLWUT! I'm guessing you're retarded.

Looking for games with strong female leads for my daughter (even just to watch as I play). Came across this link, but they're a bit age-inappropriate. Any suggestions from the community? (gameranx.com)

Edit: Daughter is only 5 so she’s unlikely to play much but she watches me and as long as it’s not too violent, it should be fine

Going by a few of these recommendations I don't think many read the part where they said she's 5!

I thought I was the only one getting bored with Hogwarts, glad I'm not alone!

Just now it's a replay of A Plague Tale: Innocence on Steam Deck; Aliens: Fireteam Elite; and mopping up achievements in Tomb Raider: DE.

Me and a mate also thought it would be a good idea to start Payday 2 seeing as though 3 is coming out soon... plot twist, it was not a good idea!

Everything I can see for it on the Arch wiki indicates the filesystem would need to be unlocked and after an update your changes would be wiped out. Alternatively brew.sh would potentially let you install xmodmap to do it although, without testing either method, I can't say if the changes would even follow through from Desktop to Game mode.

However, in Game mode you can open these menus with Ctrl+1 for the Steam button and Ctrl+2 for ellipsis button.

There's a number of reasons this can happen, a few just off the top of my head would be;

The box/cover art is created by the publisher, the developer usually doesn't have a say unless they also publish it. You can see on both of your examples that the games have different publishers for the different regions, 505 vs Arc and Spike vs Ubisoft.

The American/European publishers know that the Japanese cover art won't sell as well in their region as it would in Japan and vice versa.

The name of the game sometimes changes with region such as the game 'Imagine Ballet Dancer' this is fine in the English speaking territories, that doesn't translate properly over to Japanese though so it becomes 'Princess Ballerina', the publisher feels the name now has completely different connotations and they start making radical changes, not just to the box/cover art but sometimes the entire game.

Oh I know which way it was changed, I was just using those games you posted to make the example (:

Publishers are the worst part of the video games industry because they're just suits who deal with numbers, but they're the ones that pay the studios and have all the say. The only way to change this is to stop buying the games and to notify the publisher. I'd also reach out to the original publisher and ask if they'd release a language pack for their regional version.

To answer the question you've written out, No!

The question it feels like you're asking is;

'Will people choose the more expensive option (the photographer) for a product that will take longer to produce'

to which the answer is never really going to be straightforward but mainly the people that value the product and the nature of it most certainly will, while those that are just looking for something as quickly, and cheaply, as possible without it being perfect, won't.

This is essentially the path of least resistance, it's been in effect since time began so it's not 'will it happen one day', people already use generative programs to create images and other media rather than go to an artist/photographer/etc because it's easier and/or cheaper but there will never be anything that can fully replace a professional photographer.

Also, AI doesn't exist, AI didn't create any of those mediocre images in that video.

How many steam deck folks are here and what are you playing? - Beehaw (beehaw.org)

Right now, I’m playing the early access version of Baldurs Gate 3. I’m getting ready to put it down (frustrated: BG3 has the potential to be good, but without controller support, I’m getting really frustrated with the UI. ) and switch to Yakuza Like a Dragon. What are you playing now and what are you looking forward to...
