Discovery of the Big Ring, an ultra-large cosmological structure, by Alexia Lopez @morninglopez and her co-authors, further challenges what we understand about the universe.
This finding was announced yesterday at the Winter Meeting of the American Astronomical Society.

It's free, and you may know that now MNRAS is fully open access ! I can't wait to see the paper on the Big Ring in a peer reviewed journal (not on arXiv)
@ca_se_passe_la_haut It's available on the official site, which confirms that it's peer-reviewed. But it's only "free" in the money sense for reading. The licence looks like standard Berne (C), not CC BY.
MNRAS articles for 2024+ are CC BY, but 2700 EUR is mega-expensive for institutes.
Per @dasaptaerwin 's argument, authors from countries like Indonesia, Algeria are not listed at [1], although there's a vague possibility of a "generous waiver provision".
