What is this, and why did I make it?

As many of you probably know, Reddit is currently in a bad state. 3rd party APIs will soon begin to cost so much that any app that isn't the official one has pretty much already announced it will shut down, and the AMA held by the CEO was even worse than (at least I) thought. Seeing as FoundryVTT had a smaller community than other subreddits, I wanted to try and take initiative by creating this place where people who want to try the fediverse as an alternative can gather. I chose kbin and not Lemmy due to some controversy I had read about, and didn't want to have to face in the future (see this Mastodon post for more info), and Kbin is compatible with Lemmy anyway, so if you already have an account on a lemmy instance you don't have to create a new one.

If you're unfamiliar with Lemmy, Kbin, Mastodon and the fediverse as a whole, do not worry. You're not the only one (even I am struggling hard with understanding kbin, and I've been on Mastodon a while). I'll point you to [this guide](this guide) if you're curious.
If you want just a tl;dr, Kbin is a Reddit-style link aggregator and discussion platform. Unlike Reddit, however it does not have a single server it runs on (reddit.com), but can have an infinite amount (kbin.social is but one, and you can create your own too!), and they all communicate with one another, so I don't have to create a FoundryVTT community on kbin.social and one on your.server, but you can see this magazine from your.server as if it were there as well.
