This article really should have mentioned that the verse in question, Micah 3:12, says nothing about foxes. Quoting the KJV translation:

Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.

It's entirely reasonable to interpret the "mountain of the house" as the Temple Mount. But "as the high places of the forest" comes from יַעַר, meaning forest, woods, thicket, or cultivated tree groves — nothing specifically related to foxes.

The article incorrectly claims that the scripture mentions that the forest is where foxes are found. It's true enough that foxes can be found in forests, but that's not the point of this verse.

So personally I think the claim of prophecy fulfillment is absurd here, but still it's good to read news about foxes.
