OC What's your opinion on the Narrative Dice system?

I'm curious (and also wanting to engage this community some)!

Since Genesys has such a unique dice system, I wanted to see what everyone here thinks about it.

Do you prefer it over flat-result systems like D&D or Pathfinder? What about the degree-of-success systems like Avatar Legends or Candela Obscura?

From a GM perspective, there's a lot of improv involved with the narrative dice system, seeing as there are so many possible outcomes for any given dice roll. Whether you succeed or fail (or neither), the possible advantages or setbacks, and the possibility of rolling a triumph or despair (or both). It can be a lot to juggle, whether you plan out some results ahead of time or run them off-the-cuff!

That said, I love the system for all the same reasons! The gameplay feels dynamic, and you can never be too sure that your proficiency in a skill will guarantee the result you want. It leads to a lot of fun and unexpected events! Though I can definitely see that it's not for everyone.

So what's your take on it? Love it? Loathe it? What are the pros and cons in your eyes? Or even just your experience with it!
