Learning Java - Code Help Thread

Use this thread, or the microblog section, to post your code or ask specific code related questions.

Please add the appropriate level of detail, well formatted code samples where applicable, and don't be surprised if any responses require you to do work. This isn't a place for people to get others to do their homework! Links to repos in place of code samples are acceptable, but links to pre-existing StackOverflow questions are discouraged, such links should at least be moved to microblog!

As for replies and people trying to help, try to provide explanations rather than straight up code solutions, and try to provide relevant guides or supporting material where feasible.
