Maryland is in the process of legalizing marijuana. That's excellent. Less government restriction is always a good thing.

THAT BEING SAID

Marijuana is still illegal on the federal level. The Federal Controlled Substances Act prohibits the possession of firearms by users of marijuana.

The federal government does not care if it is legal in Maryland.

The federal government does not care if it's taken for medicinal purposes.

There are multiple legal challenges that are questioning the constitutionality of this, but until SCOTUS makes a ruling on that- it's still going to be illegal.
