The Michigan State University trustees have voted to ban members of the public with concealed pistol licenses from bringing firearms to the campus where a gunman last February fatally shot three students and injured five others.
I'm a bit confused. Those with concealed pistol licenses have done all the work with classes and registration and background checks.... so the government knows a lot about them and proving that they're a citizen willing to be a responsible gun owner.
I see nothing in this article to suggest the gunman had a concealed license, so why are they restricting the very folks who might be a help?
Feel-good politics and the sidestepping of responsibility for any future incidents. "We did something!"
