New study: "Only 30% of #anaesthesia journals had easy-to-read summary articles & only 3 of these were aimed specifically at non-medical/lay readers…While there has been an increase in…plain language summaries [#PLS] over the last decade…these were mostly not published as #OpenAccess…Journals should consider making plain language summaries mandatory to encourage authors to communicate their research findings in a way that is accessible to a broader audience."
