@strypey I don't think we (NZ, the US, maybe some others) do anti-monopoly law any more.

As @pluralistic points out in a number of pieces on antitrust, the laws never went away, governments just stopped enforcing them. As the Digital Markets Acts in both the EU and UK demonstrate, that's not been the case for a while now.

Also there are laws in NZ that you can't own a power retail company and the power network provider in the same area. Made by a National govt, no less (Max Bradford, if I remember rightly).
