Here's what we know about the seventh season of Rick and Morty so far:

1. Release Date: While an exact date hasn't been set yet, it's anticipated that Rick and Morty Season 7 will begin airing in late 2023 or early 2024, based on the release pattern of the previous seasons.

2. Cast Changes: Justin Roiland, who co-created the show and voiced both Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith, was dropped from the show by Adult Swim in January 2023 due to facing domestic abuse charges. Though the charges were dropped in March 2023, there's been no sign of a reversal of Adult Swim's decision. The lines for Rick and Morty in Season 7 will be voiced by a new actor, potentially replacing work already done by Roiland.

3. Other Cast: The rest of the Smith family, including Chris Parnell's Jerry Smith, Spencer Grammar's Summer Smith, and Sarah Chalke's Beth Smith, are expected to return for Season 7.

4. Storyline Predictions: (POTENTIAL SPOILERS) The sixth season ended with a setup for Rick and Morty to hunt down the villainous Rick Prime in Season 7. Evil Morty, one of the show's most iconic characters, escaped into an unknown location in the Multiverse in the Season 5 finale, and while his return isn't expected, his popularity and the mystery surrounding his disappearance could open the doors for his return.

5. Future Seasons: Rick and Morty has been renewed through its 10th season as per a deal inked with Adult Swim in May 2018. Despite co-creator Justin Roiland's departure, the show is still on track to complete its ten-season order. Justin Roiland, ahead of Season 6, commented that the show "could run forever," comparing its potential longevity to The Simpsons.
