His airdrop effort has only ever operated as a PR exercise. I think Joe Biden is quite content to hand weapons to Israel and give them a free hand, even after seeing what they've done with them. He's only ever been concerned about the political fallout, and I think he and the whole party have massively misjudged how big that was going to be.
