SERIAL PRODUCTION OF BAS-200 BEGAN

Russian Helicopters, a holding company of Rostec State Corporation, has organized serial production of the first domestically certified unmanned aerial vehicle system of helicopter type, the BAS-200, in Bashkortostan.

The production site where mass production samples of BAS-200 began to be assembled is the Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise (KumAPP) of the Russian Helicopters Holding Company.

"BAS-200 is a very important drone for our country, which can perform various tasks - from search and rescue operations and terrain monitoring to cargo transportation, including in hard-to-reach areas. It has proven itself in tests, including in the harsh weather conditions of the Far North. Many regions of the country have shown interest in the vehicle. In future, mass production of BAS-200 at KumAPP will allow satisfying demand for these UAVs," Rostec's aviation complex informed.

When control is transferred from station to station, the range of the drone is up to 400 kilometers. The duration of flight with a payload is up to four hours.

Main tasks of BAS-200 are transportation of cargo, search and rescue operations, geological survey, forestry patrolling and monitoring of linear objects such as roads, railroads, pipelines and power lines. Unmanned helicopter can be equipped with a wide range of equipment - gravimeter, magnetometer, spectrometer, gyrostabilized optoelectronic system, etc.
