I tried a prototype of the with paper glued onto thick, corrugated box cardbord. It's easy to use, but looks messy.

@david_megginson or: print on card stock and coat w beeswax?

@deborahh That's interesting — or I could spray with the fixative people use for charcoal drawings. But I like the beeswax idea.

@david_megginson I use this to seal watercolours. It needs a couple of days to fully cure. I get ot in Amazon. There's another beand called zest-it. https://www.jacquardproducts.com/dorlands-wax

@deborahh Thanks!

@david_megginson oh, just remembered: inkjet ink will blur if you apply with rubbing. So apply wax lightly, thin layer.

@david_megginson be sure to use multiple super-light coats of fixative. If it's liquid, inkjet ink will run.

@deborahh Same for laser toner?

deborahh,
@deborahh@mstdn.ca avatar

@david_megginson it's more stable. Not soluble in water. Should be fine.

@david_megginson lamination, at staples? But that makes it less DIY.
