quigs, Installing a modern python version on a Synology safely to run a glorified cron job script is nigh impossible to do well.
No git, no GCC, no home folder, no-executables in /tmp folder... the bootstrap chain goes on and on.
I have had to do less bootstrapping installing Gentoo stage 2 than this. 😆
