Why not revisit or remind magical numbers around human perception of performance ?
like the 20% just noticeable difference rule (Weber-Fechner ?), or how much is a user stressed, how fast should a UI be when clicked (100-200ms ?), how long should last a transition (500ms ?), the FPS goal.
Or examples of designs that lower the waiting feeling ?
