Britain is jealous of Germany, which largely explains why many people in Britain wanted to leave the EU. The US will slowly turn against the EU as well. The US and UK aren't that different. Once Russia collapses, the US and UK would work towards breaking up the EU. America doesn't want a large, strong and unified polity in any region of Eurasia.
