For those that might get confused on what part of New York is upstate, @Potsdam welcomes at least those up in the north country (and other Potsdams too!).
I look forward to getting somewhat crotchety with you all who say Rochester is Upstate lol.
For now we'll adopt the same definition as the old subreddit: Anything outside of the NYC metro area and Long Island is "Upstate". Upstate can be divided into multiple regions (such as North Country, Capitol District, Southern Tier, etc.)
This comes from a Plattsburgher, so hopefully there won't be too much drama haha.
