I have many vtubers that I like, and my "favorites" change with my mood. But the ones that I can say come to the top of my head are a few...
Nina Kosaka, the funny and lovely fox mom of Nijisanji
Aki Rosenthal, the isekai elf from Hololive, and her beautiful singing and dancing
Rin Penrose, the hilarious Bri'ish Prince
Ninomae Ina'nis, the extremely comfy and extremely cute priestess of the deep
Ceres Fauna, for more comfy and cute and uuuuuuuu~
Suou Patra, for her extremely based taste in games and music (she played the entire Armored Core series, and played metal songs on guitar on stream)
Nene Amano, the yabai and cute little angel from KawaiiPro
Kawasaki Sui, a small JP vtuber that has a lo-fi OL persona and likes racing games
Skye Shinryu, a new vtuber from EIEN project that also has a pretty based taste in retro games and a beautiful deep voice
And last but not least, Yuuka Misumi, or her new vtuber persona, Watagashi Unou. If you know who she is, you know why I like her.
Damn, I actually have a lot of oshis. And I'm subscribed to wayyyyy too many vtubers. There's not enough time in the world to actually watch all of them!
Amiya Aranha, a multi-talented and sweet spider girl, who mostly focuses on streaming retro games, supplemented by some variety content e. g. karaoke, presentations about different retro-related topics, drawing streams, making music in Mario Paint. I recommend checking out her covers, too (e.g. 1, 2). Good entry points for her gaming VODs are probably the Metroid Fusion and Gabriel Knight 2 playlists.
Kiara Takanashi, the queen of tangents, she can talk like a waterfall. Her interactions with her fanbase are cute and while most of her content is gaming she had quite a few very creative variety streams including cooking (e.g. cornknob pizza), crafting and of course her talk show HoloTalk, where she interviews other Hololive talents. Recommendations: Her GTA 5 playthrough and last year's birthday concert.
