Haha, nice. It's a bummer Me was so poorly supported. On the right hardware I heard it was decent, but kinda like the new driver model launched with Vista, a lot of OEMs didn't properly spec their stuff or supply correct drivers.
A handful of Me users bought good, supported hardware and had a nice time in the OS, but I was not one of them.
Yep lol. Me was very much so a stop gap release. XP was already in development, trying to merge the NT core from Win2k with the home user updates that shipped with Me. Me was only around for about a year before XP launched.
I have this same keyboard on hand, it's not bad! It's an AT keyboard (so larger DIN connector vs PS/2) and somehow I got one new old stock (NOS) from Las Vegas last year.
It's great if you need a compact keyboard for retro PCs, especially AT boards, but the layout will mess with you if you use it too much. I found myself mixing up Ctrl and Fn on other boards if I used it too long.
I love Necroware's channel. I've learned a ton - not just about vintage PC hardware, but general troubleshooting, electronics, soldering, repairing boards and traces - it's really helped me a lot as I work on my own retro PCs.
