Threads or Microblogs? Depends on if you want to make this magazine more like a subreddit

It took me ages to work out the difference

Threads are like Reddit subreddit entries.

Posts or microblogs are like Twitter or Mastodon…groups, I guess.

If someone starting an instance wants to replicate the Reddit experience, they should encourage people to post threads, not in microblogs. People subscribing to this magazine won't see microblogs in their feed. So if you want the 'subreddit' to grow, may I suggest people start using threads for new entries?

As someone who has never liked or used twitter (or mastadon for that matter), I'd vote for threads. It will be more familiar to those coming from Reddit, and the majority of other kbin magazines seem to be compiling posts in threads. I believe threads is also the default landing page for a magazine..
