Nonameuser678, It's size. It's a big enough city that most bands tour here and there's always something to do but it's still small enough that it doesn't feel too intense.
Inamin, I like the weather. I like the close proximity of everything. I like the lack of traffic (compared to Sydney and Melbourne - I understand it is still seen as bad to true brisbane locals!). Oh and the big one - I like that I could buy a house within 15km of the CBD for well less than $1mil.
anathema_device, Mine is easy access to the ocean, after growing up in Toowoomba and it being a nearly 3 hour trek to the seaside back then.
Inamin, Yeah it's nice being able to go up or down the coast. We're northside so we head up to Bribie Island semi-frequently. I do wish Brisbane had better bayside beaches. Sydney has beautiful beaches, but their accessibility to the majority of Sydneysiders is limited - I imagine if you live way out west, you wouldn't be heading to Maroubra very frequently.
anathema_device, @Inamin Blame Moreton Island and Straddie for the lack of surf :)
