I lived in Chesterfield for 3 years from 2005 - 07, I was in the Coastguard at the time, our office was near the corner of Gratiot and Mt. Elliott and I was a night security guard at the Faygo plant. Living in Chesterfield I wasn’t really privy to the ongoings in the city but I saw the downtown being rebuilt, the new stadium going up, etc. I don’t necessarily believe that Kwame had a lot to do with that or, if he did, he was probably using the projects to enrich himself but he was the mayor while it was happening.
