Random thought today when updating some of my recent reads on Goodreads. I heavily use the Star score when prioritising new authors / series to try out, and obviously no book can be perfect, so for the majority of my reads I'm going to be looking at an average score of 4.something....
Finally got around to watching.....and I cried at the show just as much, if not more, as I cried at the books as a kid. I remembered Lyra's words to Will at the end almost word for word, and I'm so glad they kept them in unchanged (as far as I can remember). Just beautifully done, the entire thing. And the music is exquisite...
Stuff you've finished, stuff you're in the middle of--I wanna hear about it all!
I'm on the last book of The Witcher series (The Lady of the Lake) and omg does chapter 8 feel endless. If the series had started like this, I never would have continued. It's all just battle with minor characters and once off characters who don't matter....
Reading what others have enjoyed helps me find stuff to add to my TBR pile, so I thought I should probably contribute!...
New here? New to reading? Not sure what to pick up?...
Anyone in the middle of something they're really enjoying?...
