Today, again, I reread the very short #fantasy story my spouse @leonardr wrote https://www.crummy.com/2022/12/16/0 after I asked him to write a sweet story about a robot oven.
The baker's son survived the war but has plot-convenient amnesia. He hears about this village whose baker is about to attempt an amazing feat -- a super long baguette -- and when he goes there, the smell and taste of his dad's bread awakens his memories, and they are happily reunited!
I believe @leonardr finds this too sappy to write so it is just fanfic.
@brainwane@leonardr after watching the video and seeing that it's the oven that moves (not the baguette), it made me happy to imagine the oven from the story stumping along slowly on its three legs! (They don't have a 140m long table so all the kids in the village are recruited to hold up the baguette, with oven mitts of course)
