What is the symbolism meant in the wraith? The Star child is understood to be our potential next step as a space faring species. Are you suggesting a darker theme?

Is this a modern interpretation of a movie poster for this film? I have doubts that implied blood used to spell out a movie title would be allowed on a movie poster in 1960.
