emax_gomax,

This change is required as core features in Steam rely on an embedded version of Google Chrome, which no longer functions on older versions of Windows. In addition, future versions of Steam will require Windows feature and security updates only present in Windows 10 and above.

This at least in part seems to be more of an upstream of Steam issue. Doesn’t really affect me though, linux still works fine XD.

You’ve not “owned” games on Steam at the very least since they changed the contract you’re closing from “purchase” to “subscription”.

Even before it was just licencing, so moot point, but YSK.

It wouldn’t be a problem if one could just download and install the games without the Steam crap. But of course we can’t do that because PiRaTEs or something

Rengoku,

Can’t be bothered to watch, but Steam is giving me killer deals I can’t possibly get without it, whether renting or owning does not concern me.

If people do not like it or Steam, they are free to choose another options like GoG or even physical discs.

But hope steam wont deprecate your killer deals games. And remove access :)

Rengoku,

Well it has been 12 years since I first created Steam and… it is still fine.
