So the G9 II is out, and I have to say I like most of the camera (it is a S5 II body after all). The minor downsides are losing the Fn lever (that was so handy), maybe a slightly less deep grip, and also it'd really have been nice to see an EVF upgrade along with CFexpress card slots.
The rest is all about seeing the reviews to see how the AF works and whether the sensor is at least as good as the G9. I'll probably wait to see, and also for a small price drop.
I had looked at the 9mm a lot when deciding which lens to pair with my om-5, and ultimately decided for the 15mm for what I wanted to do.
But if you already have the 17mm, my personal advice would be to look at what you'd like to photograph more, and choose accordingly. Either get the 9mm or look further up the scale in terms of mm, if you haven't gotten a zoom yet.
I actually already have the Panasonic 7-14/4 for a long while; back when I switched I basically got the trio of zooms since I was using the gear professionally.
Last year I got a deal on the 8-18/2.8-4 so now I have two of the ultra wide zooms. Maybe I'll do a head-to-head before selling the 7-14 off. Or the 8-18 if the test shows otherwise. xD
