RCN strike ballot failed due to insufficient turnout

More than 100,000 RCN members voted for further strikes in England, but the overall turnout was 122,000 at 43%, which was ~20,000 short of the threshold.

RCN can blame the strike laws all they want, but them falling into the government's trap and the generally poor planning was in my opinion the reason we don't have a mandate any more.

In other news, consultants in England have voted overwhelmingly to strike. We have much more to learn from the BMA.
