Former Delano police chief arrested on suspicion of soliciting sex with a minor

A former Delano police chief was arrested Tuesday evening on suspicion of soliciting sex with a minor during a decoy operation conducted by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.

KCSO records show Michigan resident Mark DeRosia, 68, was arrested at 7:16 p.m. at the Sleep Inn & Suites Bakersfield North on Knudsen Drive.
