I am soon moving out for university and am going to meet a bunch of new folks. But I was wondering how do you go about approaching this with privacy in mind?...

Saw a youtuber saying Apple doesn’t sell data to third party organizations. Is this true? And what about google’s android on pixel devices?

What would i lose or gain?

I use Mozilla VPN (Mullvad underneath), and it has the option for multi hop, which is really just two hops. Is there any major privacy gains with it or no?...

Tried to use OSMAnd last week to navigate around on vacation. For some reason it seems to be incapable of searching for house numbers, which is an instant dealbreaker. I’m very confused as to how or why this is a thing on such a mature product....

I still use reddit for purposes ranging from getting solutions to pastimes. Same for discord. There are a few communities on it that I need to be connected, most notably dev related....

I really don’t want to make a Microsoft account but many job interviews are held on Teams. I see that there is a web client which I will definitely use instead of the unofficial Flatpak for Linux....

I like the idea of matrix, but too much is unencrypted in element ( Profile pictures, reactions, nicknames) and no PFS in element is a bit of a dealbreaker. I know that the protocol supports PFS, so there has to be a client for it. Any clients that help with most of what I would like?

I’ve recently changed from dns.adguard.com to extended.dns.mullvad.net as it generally seems more privacy friendly, but it seemed to go dead for a while today. Anyone else see this or was it a me problem? I can deal with a slightly flaky service but I can’t recommend one to non-techies who just need a working adblocker.
