Sunscreen Under Makeup

Hey all, I’m hoping you can help!

I live in a very sunny, high altitude place and need to wear sunscreen daily. I have never been able to find something that doesn’t feel greasy after a few minutes to hours of wear. It drives me crazy!

On top of that, I can’t find anything that works well under makeup without making it pill or settle into fine lines (I’m pushing 40).

Any recommendations? For under makeup, reapplication throughout the day, or just regular wear? I have tried so many different options, including the vaunted supergoop, with little luck. My skin is prone to dark spot formation (I am very pale white), break outs, oily spots, and all the fun signs of aging.

@CatWinner @skincareaddiction I really love the Cicapair Color Correcting Treatment by Dr. Jart, which is SPF 35. The colour correction is practically unnoticeable, but the centella in it does wonders for various skin problems. I’m pale enough that most brands’ concealers are all too dark, I have rosacea and super oily skin, and I am over 40. I find that as long as you wait a minute or two before applying anything else, it works great.

What country are you in? I would recommend bondi sands hydra but if you are in the States you cannot get it and your options get quite limited.

Please note that the FDA has a list of approved sunscreen filters that has not been updated in over 15 years. A lot of research into sun protection has happened and wonderful advanced filters have been developed outside of America since that list was last updated. Bondi Sands is a great brand but you may only be seeing availability of the products they make for America. If you are able to find bondi sand hydra specifically, that is the one i am recommending. I cannot speak to their other products with respect to your needs. I think there are companies that do import of Korean sunscreens. Perhaps that would be a better route for you. I recently was in Korea and bought some innisfree sunscreen and really liked the formula.
