[Zichz Scrubs] Avataro Sentai Donbrothers on Blu-Ray (Complete Series)

Zichz Scrubs has finished putting out their release of 2022-2023's Super Sentai show, Avataro Sentai Donbrothers, onto Blu-Ray footage, so this is an excellent time to check it out.This uses the great Over-Time fansub for the show.

Avataro Sentai Donbrothers was a deeply unique Sentai show due to its unconventional premise, great comedy, and character-driven storytelling. Haruka Kitaou is an award winning (egotistical) manga author who's work is suddenly publically declared to be plagarized with a manga that suddenly appeared out of nowhere and is an exact copy of hers. At the exact same time as her career is in shambles, she finds a pair of mysterious glasses that when she puts them on lets her see John Carpenter's They Live-style that some people are weird monsters and causes her to randomly teleport off to fight monsters alongside four other people she doesn't know and transform into the yellow ranger of the team, Oni Sister. She is then told to seek out the Red ranger, Don Momotaros and pledge loyalty to him... and given precisely zero indication who he might be outside of battle other than he's a jerk who criticises everyone's performance and attacks his own teammates to train them. Alongside a team of other people who all suffered strange misfortunes like an ascetic obssessed with haiku pseudo-monk, a criminal on the run for a murder he didn't commit completely uninterested in the team, and the world's biggest wife guy, none of which she knows who they are, she must seek out Don Momotaros and find out what the heck is going on while dealing with a second transforming team also fighting the same monsters who are also huge weirdoes. Also Don Momotaros spends a bunch of time hanging out with a member of the other team under the moon talking about how the moon is beautiful, it's wild. :P

(For those who are new, a Scrub is a tokusatsu fandom term for taking an existing translation and moving it to better footage or retranslating parts of it. This is especially prevalent in the toku fandom due to a lot of 00's-era fansubs being on poor VHS quality footage, but there aren't enough translators going around to do entirely new footage, so... Then the term moved onto DVD -> HD transfers or streaming -> BD transfers.)
