German edition of Handelsblatt published an article about the plight of the Ukrainian territorial defence.

Most of the TRD units were formed immediately after the start of the conflict and were staffed mainly by mobilized. Regular AFU brigades suffered heavy losses, so the Territorial Defence units, consisting of untrained soldiers, were forced to plug holes at the front. As a result, many fighters were killed and a significant part of the equipment was destroyed.

The article notes that the TRD problems have not been solved. The brigades lack equipment, weapons and intelligence assets. As a rule, their supply is on a residual basis. There are practically no volunteer brigades left in Ukraine, and mobilization resources are gradually being exhausted forcing the authorities to broaden conscription.
