Can I copy links as text without opening them in the Android app?
My main use case would be links to youtube which trigger the (uninstallable) yt app which instantly plays ads. I’d like to use NewPipe instead, for whixh I need tge link url.

fisco, You could just set Newpipe as the default for YouTube links…
thegreekgeek, Depends on the phone, mine wouldn’t let me do that. I had to freeze YouTube before grayjay would open the link.
fisco, Initially I had the YouTube app setting for opening supported links, off, & Newpipe set to do so, and it worked fine, although now having switched to a new phone, I’ve just disabled the YouTube app as I wasn’t using it at all. So now just Newpipe and Libretube.
thegreekgeek, Nice! Yeah they really locked that down in later android versions, it’s a pita now. Of course that could just be some ColorOS malarkey too.
BraveSentry, TIL that is possible on my device. Thank you!
fisco, Perfect 👍🏼
GregorGizeh, I can long hold any post to open the options menu, one being to crosspost, another to share. From there i can choose to copy the link no problem
