#FairyTaleTuesday: The #fairy king #Midir fell in love with the beautiful #Étain. Unluckily, he was already married to the jealous #druid Fuamnach, who cast a spell on her rival. Étain immediately turned into a beautiful fly. In this form she flew about until she accidentally drowned in a glass of wine. Upon emptying it, a princess got pregnant. Her child was the reborn Étain, who grew up to be just as beautiful as in her earlier incarnation. Source: P.
